Winter is a practical time to start laser hair removal in Dee Why. A course takes more than one visit, and the cooler months make it easier to keep treated skin out of strong sun. This is a planning guide, not a promise of a particular result.
Laser Hair Removal in Winter: A Dee Why Planning Guide
- A full course is usually several sessions spaced over months
- Starting in winter means more of the course happens before summer
- Covering up after treatment is simpler in cooler weather
- You can book around work more easily than in holiday season
What a course usually involves
Hair grows in cycles, so one session does not treat every follicle. Your therapist sets the gap between visits after looking at the area, your hair and your skin. Most people plan a series, then occasional maintenance if new growth appears.
We use medical-grade lasers, including PRYSM technology where it suits the treatment plan. The right device and settings are chosen at consultation, not from a blog.
Sun and skin care
- Avoid sunburn on the area before and after a session
- Tell us about recent fake tan, it can affect whether treatment goes ahead
- Use the aftercare you are given, including SPF on exposed skin when advised
- Shave as directed before you come; do not wax or pluck between sessions
Who should book a consultation first
Recently tanned skin, certain medications, pregnancy and some medical conditions change whether laser is suitable. We check this at a free consultation at the Dee Why clinic before any course is booked.
Grey or very light hair
Laser targets pigment in the hair. Grey or very light hair may respond poorly. Electrolysis is the option we discuss when laser is not the right tool.
